Ukrainian Member of Parliament and leader of the Information Resistance information group Dmytro Tymchuk says the Armed Forces of Ukraine have retaken the village of Zolote-4 in Luhansk region under its control.
“According to information obtained by Information Resistance, late in June this year, a deep reconnaissance company of a unit from the [Ukrainian] Joint Forces reserve conducted a successful operation to liberate and take control of another important administrative unit, the village of Zolote-4,” Tymchuk wrote on Facebook on July 1.

At least 12 Taliban militants were killed and 16 others injured during airstrikes conducted by Afghan air force in the western Badghis province of Afghanistan late Friday, police said Saturday.
“Army helicopters targeted Taliban’s gathering in Jawand district of western Badghis province late Friday night, killing at least 12 insurgents and injuring 16 others,” Naqibullah Amini, spokesperson for Badghis police told Xinhua.

Islamist militants armed with rockets and explosives raided the headquarters of an African military taskforce in central Mali, leaving at least six people dead on Friday, a spokesman for the force said.
Assailants driving a vehicle rigged with bombs attacked the compound in the town of Sevare as some exchanged gunfire with Malian troops and fought to get in, officials said.

Forces loyal to commander Khalifa Haftar said on Thursday they had taken full control of the eastern Libyan city of Derna from an armed coalition of local fighters and Islamists.
“Thanks be to God, the armed forces control the entire city of Derna,” said a statement on Facebook.

Ukraine said on Thursday that a flare up in fighting in breakaway eastern regions had claimed the lives of five government soldiers and at least 15 fighters allied to Russian-backed separatists.
Kiev’s announcement came hours after US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, said they would meet at a summit in Helsinki on July 16.
