Russian-led forces mounted 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the last 24 hours.
“No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported in the past day. According to intelligence reports, three occupiers were killed and another two were wounded,” the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 23, 2018.

Fighting between clans in Somalia’s breakaway Somaliland region has killed more than 50 people, a witness at the scene and an official in neighboring Puntland said on Tuesday.
“There has been fierce clan fighting yesterday and today. Over 50 people died but they have not been buried because the fighting is still going on,” Ahmed Ismail told Reuters from Dhumey village.

Congolese rebels killed 15 civilians and abducted a dozen children in an attack at the center of the latest deadly Ebola outbreak, Congo’s military said Sunday. The violence has threatened to again force the suspension of crucial virus contamination efforts.
The Allied Democratic Forces rebels, a Ugandan Islamist militant group active in the area since the 1990s, attacked Congolese army positions and several neighborhoods of Beni on Saturday and into Sunday, Capt. Mak Hazukay Mongha told The Associated Press.

Three local rebels were killed in a gunbattle with Indian government forces in disputed Kashmir on Sunday, and six civilians were killed in an explosion at the site after the fighting was over, officials and residents said.
Meanwhile, three Indian army soldiers and two suspected militants were killed in a gunbattle along the highly militarized line of control dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

At least 62 civilians have been killed in a US air force attack on two villages near Syria’s Deir ez-Zor city, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.
The airstrikes, which targeted the villages of Sousse and Bubradan, also injured a number of civilians, according to the report.
