Turkey: 1 soldier and 9 Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants killed in clashes in southeast Turkey
One Turkish soldier and nine suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) killed in the eastern province of Hakkari, daily Hürriyet has reported.
Two soldiers were wounded during the fighting, reports said.
Several PKK members were attempting to infiltrate a police station in the province’s Çukurca district when security forces intervened.
