Somalia: Fear of clashes between Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a fighters and forces of Galmudug State, displaced local residents
Scores of residents fled Mareergur locality on Friday, fearing a bloody fighting between Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a fighters and forces of Galmudug State.
“There are so many fighters and weapons in Mareergur,” resident in the locality “Some people have started fleeing the areas for fear of the fighting. Most people are saying they have no option but to support whoever takes over the locality.”
Reports coming from areas near Mareergur state that the fighters of Ahlu-Sunna waljama’a and Galmudug forces were amassed waiting the fighting whistle to be blown.
Abdisalam Hassan Samatar has confirmed to Goobjoog News that there is high tension in area which forced many people to flee from Mareergur locality as fighting can flare up at any time.
