North Korea’s foreign minister has said that President Donald Trump has declared war on the country and Pyongyang has the right to shoot down US strategic bombers.

He added that they have the right to strike even if they aren’t in North Korean airspace.

Iraqi forces on Tuesday began an operation to recapture the Islamic State’s (IS) last remaining stronghold in Anbar Province near the border with Syria, a military source said.

According to the source, Iraqi soldiers, Anbar provincial police, and Iranian-backed Shia militia Hashd al-Shaabi began advancing on the town of Anah in the morning.

At least 15 Taliban insurgents were killed in Afghan Air Force (AAF) airstrikes in central Uruzgan province on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Sunday.

In addition, 11 other insurgents were wounded.

A roadside bomb exploded Sunday killing a local government official and four policemen in Pakistan’s restive northwestern tribal area bordering Afghanistan, officials said.

The blast took place in the town of Mamoond, some 25 kilometres (15 miles) from Khar, the main town of Bajaur, one of the country’s seven semi-autonomous tribal districts, where the army has been battling Taliban militants.

“A local government officer and four tribal police were killed and another was wounded when an improvised explosive device planted on a roadside exploded when their vehicle passed,” senior local government official Anwarul Haq told AFP.

The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army declared a month-long unilateral ceasefire, starting on Sunday, to enable aid groups to help ease a humanitarian crisis in northwest Myanmar.

Nearly 300,000 self-identified Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh and 30,000 non-Muslim civilians have been displaced inside Myanmar after the military launched a counter-offensive following attacks by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) insurgents on 30 police posts and an army base on Aug. 25.
