Six soldiers have been killed in a border skirmish between South Sudan and Uganda.
The Ugandan government claimed that South Sudanese soldiers were in Ugandan territory and refused to leave,
leading to the firefight. Reports indicate that five South Sudanese were killed, with one Ugandan also dying.
However, South Sudanese authorities said that Uganda had launched a surprise attack, including tanks and artillery.
Uganda has been a long-standing ally of South Sudanese leader, Salva Kiir, backing him in the South Sudanese fight for independence and the subsequent civil war.
