Burma-Myanmar: Battle rages between Kachin Independence Army (KIA) troops and Burmese army in Sadung
A battle took place between KIA’s 3rd Battalion troops and a combined force of Burmese army and BGF (Border Guard Force) troops near Ngwa Le village in Sadung Township on March 22 at around 3 pm.
KIA’s 3rd Battalion troops was reportedly conducting its own anti-drug campaign called “Labu Pan Majan”, translated as the war on poppies, when they encountered Burmese army and its militia unit.
