Burma-Myanmar: Battle rages on Putao-Sumprabum road between Kachin Independence Army (KIA) rebels and army
A battle took place between KIA’s 7th Battalion troops and a combined force of Burmese Army’s 46th, 137th, and 138th Light Infantry Battalions at a location between Wadat and Tam Ja village on Putao–Sumprabum road on Aug 30.
KIA source said there were high casualties on Burmese Army side and at least 30 soldiers were taken to the Sumpra Bum General Hospital.
