Pakistan: Asmatullah Shaheen Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) top leader killed in North Waziristan
A top activist of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Asmatullah Shaheen was killed along three others on Monday when anonymous armed assailants opened fire on a vehicle in Miranshah, North Waziristan.
According to sources, the incident of shooting occurred near Darga Mandi area of Ghulam Khan Tehsil early today morning.
Shaheen was reportedly a key member of TTP’s shura. He served as the acting TTP chief after the killing of Hakeemullah Mehsud in a US drone strike in November last year. TTP, however, has not confirmed Bhittani’s killing.
