Somaliland: Army repel attack by Sool, Sanag, Cayn (SSC) militia in Kashaale
Somaliland Army has today repelled an offensive launched by a Buhoodle milita on a site of peace conference which was expected to take place on saturday.
The skirmishes broke out after militiamen aligned to Buhodle launched an assault at Kalshaale the venue of the proposed peace conference which was about to open today between traditional chiefs from Buroa and burco.
The conference was organized under the auspices of Somaliland Minister for presidency and the ex-leader of SSC Saleban halgatosiye.
According to sources on the ground told Somalilandpress.com that militia men from Buhoodle were opposed to reconciliation conference hence their intention to disrupt but their offence was deterred by Somaliland National Army who was keeping the security at the venue of the conference.
