Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip late Friday in response to rocket attacks by Palestinian militants, as tensions in Jerusalem spilled over into the worst round of cross-border violence in months.
The barrage of rocket fire came as hundreds of Palestinians clashed with Israeli police in east Jerusalem in which at least 4 police and 6 protesters were injured. The clashes have become a nightly occurrence during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Kurdish security forces say that Syrian government-allied fighters have killed one of their personnel in an overnight attack on a checkpoint, in a city the two groups share control of in northern Syria.
The fighting began when a group known as the National Defense Forces attacked the position manned by the Kurds in the city of Qamishli, Kurdish news agencies also reported.

Russian aircraft target a terrorist stronghold near the western Syrian city of Palmyra, killing up to 200 terrorists and afflicting considerable material damages on them.
Alexander Karpov, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria — a subdivision of the Russian Armed Forces, announced the news on Monday.

Fierce fighting for Yemen’s strategic Marib city has killed 70 pro-government and Huthi rebel fighters over the past 24 hours, with battles raging on three fronts, loyalist military officials said Sunday.
The Huthis have been trying to seize Marib, the capital of an oil-rich region and the government’s last significant pocket of territory in the north, since February.

Fatira, Sfuhen, Flefel, Binin and others in the southern rural Idlib were shelled by the Syrian Government Forces.
In the same relation, areas in Anghawi, and Qlidine in north western Hama were shelled with heavy machinery by the Syrian Government Forces with no reports on human losses according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SHOR.
