Burma-Myanmar: Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) rebels reject government ceasefire proposal, clashes with Burma army
About a week after the government offered 17 ethnic armed groups a nationwide ceasefire proposal, one group—the ethnic Palaung—has stated that they reject the conditions set out in the draft agreement.
In early November, ethnic groups convened in Laiza to develop a joint position in their ceasefire negotiations with Naypyidaw. On Nov. 5, at a high-profile meeting in the Kachin capital Myitkyina, Minister Aung Min’s peace negotiations team met with Burma’s major rebel groups and handed them a draft ceasefire agreement.

India: Militants attack patrol near Awantipora killing 2 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) policemen
Two CRPF personnel were killed when militants attacked a patrol party on Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Thursday, police sources said.
The attack took place outside Pandav park near Awantipora, 32kms from here, this evening, the sources said.
