North Korea: North Korea preparing for war against South Korea and United States

North Korea is taking every initiative to show the world that it is prepared for war, particularly as South Korea and the United States enters into their Key Resolve military exercise.

The Rodong Shinmun, the voice of the North Korean Communist Party, said in its report that it North Korea will devote its armed forces of 10 million to fight the United States in its own way.

Colombia: National Liberation Army (ELN) rebel group release 5 hostages in north Colombia

Colombian rebels from the National Liberation Army said they had freed two Peruvians and three Colombians kidnapped last month from a gold mine in the north of the country.

The ELN, as Colombia’s second biggest guerrilla group is known, did not mention a Canadian seized at the same time.

Colombian army said that at least four soldiers are dead in clashes with suspected members of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) at Ecuador border.

Meanwhile in Avana opens fourth round of negotiations between government of president Santos and FARC to arrive to a peace agreement.

The Colombian army on Thursday killed five suspected FARC rebels in the northwestern Antioquia department.

“They were five rebels who were killed in combat by the Combined Task Force,” said a source within the army.

Colombia: Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) ends unilateral truce, proposes bilateral ceasefire

Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC on Sunday announced the immediate end of a two-month unilateral truce and renewed its call for a bilateral truce to hold peace talks with the government “in a tranquil environment.”

While talking to press in the Cuban capital Havana, the leader of the FARC’s negotiating team, “Ivan Marquez,” said that “with pain in our heart we must admit that we return to the time of military warfare that nobody wants.”
