Iraq: Peshmerga forces ambush a group of Islamic State (IS) militants in Tal Afar, killed 6 jihadists
A number of Islamic State (IS) militants were killed on Friday after they were ambushed by Peshmerga in northern Tal Afar, some 65 kilometres west of Mosul.
Peshmerga commander Badirkhan Zebari confirmed to BasNews that six jihadists were gunned down by the Kurdish forces while they were attempting to escape Tal Afar.
The commander also reiterated that the Peshmerga forces are ready to encounter any incident in the area and gun down the escaping jihadists on their way to other territories remaining under the control of IS.
