After clashes with Islamic State’s (ISIS) militants, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Sunday captured two towns in eastern Raqqa.
“The SDF forces today seized control of the Hadi and Natali towns in the eastern countryside of Raqqa,” an SDF spokesman told ARA News.

Yemeni army soldiers, backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees, have killed at least seven Saudi troops in the kingdom’s southwestern border regions of Najran and Jizan as the Riyadh regime pushes ahead with its campaign against Yemen.
According to a report by Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, the Yemeni forces on Sunday gunned down two Saudi troops in a sniper attack on al-Tala’a military base in Najran, and killed three more by attacking al-Makhroq base with rocket-propelled grenades in the same region.

Turkish warplanes killed 51 Islamic State militants in operations over the last 24 hours, the military said in a statement on Thursday.
Warplanes destroyed 85 Islamic State targets in the areas of al-Bab, Tadif, Kabbasin and Bzagah, including buildings and vehicles.

Clashes broke out on Friday between Syrian rebel groups and al-Qaeda-splinter group of Fateh al-Sham in Syria’s northwestern Idlib Governorate.
Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, previously known as Nusra Front, clashed with foreign-backed rebel factions in the countryside of Idlib –where they both used to share power after the expulsion of Syrian regime’s forces nearly two years ago.

Iraqi forces have captured all of eastern Mosul, dislodging Islamic State militants from the last district they held east of the Tigris river, 100 days after the start of the U.S.-backed campaign, the Defense Ministry said on Monday.
Mosul is Islamic State’s last major city stronghold in Iraq.
