Military officials in Guinea-Bissau declared taking “total control” of the coup-prone west African country Wednesday, arresting its president, closing its borders and suspending its electoral process three days after general elections.
The officers’ announcement followed heavy gunfire that rang out near the presidential palace earlier in the day, with men in military uniform taking over the main road leading to the building.

At least three members of the New People’s Army (NPA) were killed in a firefight with government forces in the mountains of Pange village in Jaro, Leyte, early Monday, the Philippine Army reported.
Brig. Gen. Pompeyo Jason Almagro, commander of the Philippine Army’s (PA) 802nd Infantry Brigade, said those slain were a squad leader and two members of the squad’s medical unit.

The Karen National Union (KNU)’s armed wing and allies on Friday recaptured the Myanmar–Thai border town of Mawdaung in Tanintharyi Region after a hiatus of 35 years, according to resistance fighters.
The hill town is located at the Singkhon Pass border where Thailand’s Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is at its thinnest. It served as the headquarters of the KNU’s Myeik District until the junta occupied it in 1990.

Ukrainian assault teams have successfully cleared several streets in the embattled city of Pokrovsk, using drone-guided operations to drive Russian troops from their positions, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” reported on November 12.
According to the regiment, small tactical groups are being deployed to clear buildings of occupying forces, with each move coordinated in real time by reconnaissance drones. “The drones not only detect targets but even indicate the direction of fire for the troops,” the unit reported.

Russian occupiers die by the hundreds in hellish meat grinder near Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast. According to the Hostri Kartuzi or “Peaky Blinders” unit of the Ukrainian Army, the occupation troops pay an enormous price for every square meter of Ukrainian land.
According to the latest reports, Russian forces control approximately 60% of Pokrovsk. Special units of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) are currently conducting an operation in the area. The operation is being personally overseen by HUR chief Kyrylo Budanov, who has been spotted en route to the city.
