Renewed clashes erupted between Turkish-backed rebel factions on Monday in the Kurdish enclave of Afrin, killing an unknown number of people, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
The clashes broke out between rebels of the al-Jabha al-Shamiyya and the al-Mu’tasim Division, which resulted in casualties among both parties’ ranks.

Yemeni government forces, backed by the Arab Coalition, have made significant advances in the east of Saada province.
The forces have taken full control of key mountain ranges in the Kataf directorate, a military source said, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Eight PKK terrorists have been killed in Turkish airstrikes in the country’s southeastern and eastern provinces, and in northern Iraq, the military said yesterday.
The Turkish General Staff in a message on Twitter confirmed that its fighter jets carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq’s Zap region, and in the rural areas of southeastern Şırnak and eastern Van provinces during the weekend.

Syria’s army launched an assault on the flashpoint southern city of Daraa Tuesday, state media said, after a week of deadly bombardment on the nearby countryside caused mass displacement.
Government forces have set their sights on retaking the south of the country, a strategic area that borders Jordan and the Golan Heights.

Israeli jets have attacked 25 targets linked to Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after the group launched rockets and mortar shells at Israeli territory, the military said.
Three Palestinians were lightly injured during the attacks in the early hours of Wednesday, residents said. The exchange was one of the most intense recent barrages of rocket fire and air strikes.
