Yemen: 4 soldiers killed in an armed confrontation with security units of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Mudiyah

About four Yemeni soldiers were killed and eight others injured on Monday during an armed confrontation in the southern province of Abyan, a military official told Xinhua.

According to the local military official, who asked to remain anonymous, pro-government Yemeni forces clashed with security units of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Mudiyah district in the eastern part of Abyan.

Iraq: ISIS attack kills 2 members of security forces near northern Iraqi oilfields

Syria: Turkey and Kurdish forces accuse each other of breaking ceasefire

Turkey and Syrian Kurdish forces are both accusing each other of violating a temporary ceasefire agreement in northern Syria.

The US announced on Thursday it had brokered a five-day pause in fighting to allow Kurdish forces to withdraw.

Turkey: Turkey agrees to 120-hour ceasefire in northern Syria

Turkey has agreed to a temporary ceasefire to allow Kurdish-led troops to withdraw from northern Syria.

The country will pause its offensive in the area, overseen by the US, for 120 hours in order to allow for the pullback.

Syria: Russian military police are now patrolling the contact line between Syrian and Turkish forces

Russia has stepped up its role in the conflict in Syria by deploying military police to the country’s north.

The Russian units are patrolling a contact line between Syrian and Turkish forces, according to a statement Tuesday by Russia’s Defense Ministry. The line runs along the northwestern borders of the Manbij district.
