A Syrian military helicopter has been shot down by the Turkish F-16C fighter jet, according to several media reports.
Turkish media reports that President Erdogan personally ordered the attack on the Syrian helicopter. On his order, pilot of a Turkish Air Force F-16C fighter jet used AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range, Air-to-Air missile to shoot-down a Mi-17 utility helicopter of Syria Arab Air Force over Idlib yesterday.

An Iraqi soldier was killed and another wounded in clashes that followed an attack by members of the so-called Islamic State on an army post in Salahuddin province on Saturday.
Islamic State sleeper cells have intensified terrorist activity in recent weeks, launching attacks on an almost daily basis especially in rural areas of provinces to the north of Baghdad and south of the Kurdistan Region.

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that US forces have killed Qassim al-Rimi, the leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), in an operation inside Yemen.
Al-Rimi claimed responsibility for last year’s deadly shooting at US Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, where a Saudi aviation trainee killed three US sailors.

The Yemeni army killed 15 Houthi militants during clashes in Al-Jawf province, state news agency SPA reported on Wednesday.
“The national army foiled an attack carried out by the militia in Al-Jaroub front of Al-Matoon district which resulted to the death of 15 militants and wounds in others,” a military source said.
