The Iraqi Oil Ministry confirmed on Friday that Kurdish Peshmerga forces had seized the plants that produce crude oil in the fields of Kirkuk and Bai Hassan, warning of the danger of this irresponsible behavior, which it considers an encroachment on the Constitution, the national wealth and a disregard for the Federal authority.
The total number of Palestinians killed by recent Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip has risen to 51, including 13 children, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Wednesday.
“At least 51 people have been killed and nearly 451 injured in Israeli military operations since Monday,” ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qodra told Anadolu Agency.

Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Gaza militants early on Tuesday, dubbing the offensive “Operation Protective Edge.” More than 50 targets were hit in the offensive.
Meanwhile, rocket fire on Israel’s south continued. According to the IDF, eight projectiles were launched between 2 and 6 A.M.
Syrian troops advanced inside and near northern Aleppo on Monday in what appears to be an attempt to lay siege to rebel-held parts of the country’s largest city, activist said Monday.
If successful, it would be the biggest blow to the opposition since they entered the northern city two years ago. Aleppo, once Syria’s commercial center, has been carved up into rebel- and government-controlled areas since opposition fighters launched an offensive in the country’s north in mid-2012.
Syrian warplanes carried out at least three airstrikes on the outskirts of Arsal in east Lebanon Friday, killing a 12-year-old boy and wounding five others, a security source told The Daily Star.
The Lebanese Army released a brief statement confirming that the Syrian air force attacked the area twice, at 8:55 and 10:15 a.m.
