Burma-Myanmar: Chin National Front (CNF) tells Arakan Army (AA) to leave Chin State and fighting with Myanmar military

The Chin National Front (CNF) has issued another warning to the Arakan Army (AA), asking the armed group to withdraw from Chin State’s Paletwa Township, which the AA has used as a base to fight the Myanmar military.

The CNF held its second central executive committee meeting of the year from July 7-15, after which it repeated its demand that the AA leave Paletwa.

Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan protesters demand war after Armenia clashes

Thousands have demonstrated in Azerbaijan calling for war after recent deadly clashes with neighbouring Armenia.

Protesters marched through the capital Baku demanding the government fully deploy the army, with some even entering the national parliament.

Azerbaijan: 4 Azerbaijani troops die in clashes with Armenia

Armenia and Azerbaijan blamed each other Monday for skirmishes on their volatile border that has left four Azerbaijani soldiers dead and several troops wounded on both sides.

The two neighbors in the South Caucasus have been locked in conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, a region of Azerbaijan that has been under the control of ethnic Armenian forces backed by Armenia since a war there ended in 1994. International efforts to settle the conflict have stalled.

Azerbaijan: 2 killed in clashes at border between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Arch-foes Armenia and Azerbaijan on Sunday traded accusations of launching a military offensive using artillery fire along their shared border, with Baku reporting two troops killed.

Azerbaijan’s defense ministry said Armenia’s “offensive” from its northern Tovuz region was met with a “counterstrike” and retreated.

Afghanistan: 24 Taliban terrorists killed in clashes in three Afghan provinces

As many as 24 Taliban terrorists have been killed in clashes with Afghan security forces in the east and south of the country, the Defence Ministry said on Saturday.

All clashes took place on Friday.
